We celebrated Jacob's first 100 days as Korean tradition goes. A Beak-il dates back to ancient Asia, when babies were known to pass away at early ages. So when a baby made it to 100 days, they were more likely to live a long life. So that's why they celebrate 100 days in the Korean culture. We decided to not do a completely traditional celebration, and instead opted for a BBQ, that way friends and family could come celebrate. And Jacob wore a traditional Korean Hanbok (traditional Korean clothing).
I am huge on making sure that Jacob is fully aware of both his backgrounds. I am 100% German and Jae is 100% Korean. It's extremely important to both of us that he learns about both cultures. I can't wait to learn Korean with him.
Here are the pics from the day!
