This past weekend was a very exciting weekend for Jacob. He did/got lots of new things! Daddy had a four day weekend, and being so, we actually had time to go do things that we haven't done in a long time, and with Jacob being the new addition to the family, it was his first time ever!
The first thing we did was on Friday go get a big boy high chair. Mommy was awesome and found quite the bargain. Jacob loves sitting up high and seeing everything while eating!
Second on Sunday, Daddy thought it was time to go the mountains for the first time. It has been quite a while since we have had time to go, and Sunday was perfect. A little chilly, but perfect in the mountains. We went up to Winter Park, and found a nice trail right by the highway. Jacob didn't know what to think of being placed in the back pack, but he loved being able to see everything front and center. Daddy learned what it was like to carry a baby around... Jacob weighs 16 pounds, so it almost equaled the weight I gained my entire pregnancy.
On Monday, it was sunny and warm and so we wanted to try out Jacob's life jacket that his wonderful Aunt Kristy and Uncle Josh got him. He loved going in the big pool. He was kicking his legs and moving his arms, and floating about. He got tired quickly though, and almost fell asleep while we were swimming. He is a water baby, just like his mommy.
