10 months/ Belated Merry Christmas

We walk, we talk, and we are on the go. Jacob's new nickname is "the destroyer". It is well earned. I feel like the house is in constant array, because Jacob is just on the go everywhere, and by the time I get one messed situated, there seems to be two more! He is quite the accomplishing fen when it comes to destroying.

Jacob especially thinks it is fun to go into the bathroom and pull all the neatly folded towels off the towel rack. He giggles when he does and talks loudly, so to make sure I hear that he has once again snuck into the bathroom.

We are mostly a walker these days. Jacob is doing a great job. We fall many times still, but he is using less and less assistance with his walker toy and just doing it all on his own. He is now trying to learn to stand up without using furniture or any support. He got almost all the way up the other day! He is on the go. We are saying our b's, d's and p's. Jaoob's new word is bottle. He also loves to dance, and enjoys showing mommy off his moves while making music with his music table.

Jacob also got his first very nasty cold over Christmas. It made for a very long vacation/not vacation. We spent two weeks with severe congestion and eventually had to force feed liquids to keep him hydrated. It was a rough time for mommy. No one wants to see their baby suffer. He lost weight, and just was so upset all the time. We are doing much better now, but man, it was rough. Jacob had a wonderful first Christmas before his cold got the best of him. He got several new toys from Grandma and Grandpa and all his uncles and aunts. He also didn't like present opening...he had better things to do it would have appeared. That was ok though, because he had plenty of cousins who assisted with present opening. His favorite toy is his new music table from Santa. He enjoys standing by it making music. Next would have to be the Kawaski 4-wheeler from JJ. Jacob sits in it all the time. Not to mention we got our 7th and 8th teeth to pop through. So now we have EIGHT!

Mommy is trying to decide a theme for Jacob's first birthday, which is rapidly approaching. We are hoping to do two birthday parties, one in NE and one here in Denver, that way everyone who wants to come can. It might be too much to take on, but we will see. We are going for an animal themed party, with Lions because those are Jacob's favorite animal.

I just cannot believe that he will be a year old. He is growing too fast for me. But he is growing so beautifully, that I do not dare complain. My family is blessed.
