10 months/ Belated Merry Christmas

We walk, we talk, and we are on the go. Jacob's new nickname is "the destroyer". It is well earned. I feel like the house is in constant array, because Jacob is just on the go everywhere, and by the time I get one messed situated, there seems to be two more! He is quite the accomplishing fen when it comes to destroying.

Jacob especially thinks it is fun to go into the bathroom and pull all the neatly folded towels off the towel rack. He giggles when he does and talks loudly, so to make sure I hear that he has once again snuck into the bathroom.

We are mostly a walker these days. Jacob is doing a great job. We fall many times still, but he is using less and less assistance with his walker toy and just doing it all on his own. He is now trying to learn to stand up without using furniture or any support. He got almost all the way up the other day! He is on the go. We are saying our b's, d's and p's. Jaoob's new word is bottle. He also loves to dance, and enjoys showing mommy off his moves while making music with his music table.

Jacob also got his first very nasty cold over Christmas. It made for a very long vacation/not vacation. We spent two weeks with severe congestion and eventually had to force feed liquids to keep him hydrated. It was a rough time for mommy. No one wants to see their baby suffer. He lost weight, and just was so upset all the time. We are doing much better now, but man, it was rough. Jacob had a wonderful first Christmas before his cold got the best of him. He got several new toys from Grandma and Grandpa and all his uncles and aunts. He also didn't like present opening...he had better things to do it would have appeared. That was ok though, because he had plenty of cousins who assisted with present opening. His favorite toy is his new music table from Santa. He enjoys standing by it making music. Next would have to be the Kawaski 4-wheeler from JJ. Jacob sits in it all the time. Not to mention we got our 7th and 8th teeth to pop through. So now we have EIGHT!

Mommy is trying to decide a theme for Jacob's first birthday, which is rapidly approaching. We are hoping to do two birthday parties, one in NE and one here in Denver, that way everyone who wants to come can. It might be too much to take on, but we will see. We are going for an animal themed party, with Lions because those are Jacob's favorite animal.

I just cannot believe that he will be a year old. He is growing too fast for me. But he is growing so beautifully, that I do not dare complain. My family is blessed.

9 Months Old

Jacob is 9 months old! Where has the time gone? It goes by so fast! Jacob is now 20 pounds, 30.5 inches long, and quite the large noggin. He did awesome at the doctor visit. Dr. Berry said he was ahead of schedule developmentally, and had lots of energy! So proud of my little man.

Jacob practically runs around the apartment now with his walker/stroller. He's new thing to do is laugh hysterically at everything, even when mommy does a fake laugh, he reciprocates. We are working on walking all by ourselves. Jacob can stand all by himself for quite long periods of time, and he it thinking about stepping all on his own but he usually falls on his butt. He will definitely be a walker by Christmas.

We are anxiously awaiting Christmas. We put up the tree, and there a few present surrounding that bottom. Mommy is just hoping the barricade holds out so that Jacob doesn't get into some early present opening...He's been working on it. No success yet. Thank you Lord. Jacob also got his first ornament.

It should be a fun December month!

November fun

Everything has been pretty relaxed lately. Jacob is growing like a weed. He walks around the apartment with his stroll walker and is standing all on his own. Mommie is pretty sure we will have a walker by Christmas, if not sooner. Jacob has a "sooner" track record.

We also now have four teeth. Those top two teeth were quite the hassle to get in, but they finally are there, and cute as ever. No pictures of those yet, because Jacob doesn't like showing them off yet. We are still pretty cranky, so Mommie is thinking that there are some more on there way.

Jacob also can say some words now. He says "ahppa" which is daddy in Korean. "ahma" which is mommy. Ball. Hello, which usually is "herrrrrrrrrrroooooo" and yum yum, which sounds more like "ummmmmmm ummmmmmm".

We love to explore the house! And are not afraid of the dark. In fact, Jacob likes to crawl into the bedroom and explore in the dark. He giggles and crawls away from us if we come after him. He thinks it's a game.

Lastly, its almost Thanksgiving, which will be Jacob first. We aren't able to go home for it, but we hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving, and we will be home for Christmas no matter what!

Pumpkins Everywhere

For his first Halloween Jacob was a pumpkin...
He was a darn cute pumpkin. We went to a pumpkin patch with grandma, grandpa, Uncle Josh, Aunt Kristy and Kohl. We had a great time. Jacob got to play in the corn, go down a big slide with mommy and grandma, and Aunt Angie. It was great. We even roasted smores! And then we all carved pumpkins!

Standing up! Messes, and Korean BBQ

Ready set...STAND! Jacob is now an avid stander. He has been working really hard trying to stand up every now and then, but now it's a completely different story! He stand up on everything. Earlier today he decided to pull himself up on mommie's back and play patty cake on her shoulders. He just loves to go go go.

Now that he can move about, he is into everything as well!!!! We were heading out for a dinner bbq session at our pool, and mommy and daddy weren't paying attention for five minutes. We then stumbled upon a very wet baby... He thought it was fun!

While daddy was bbq-ing Jacob had fun playing with the flowers!

It was a tasty Korean BBQ dinner, and we all had a blast!

Catch Up!

Oh my! It's already the end of September?? Where did it go??

We have been so busy I have completely forgotten to update everyone! I am so far behind. A lot has been going on! We are busy keeping up with Jacob. He became officially mobile shortly after our last update, and has been on the go ever since. "No time to waste mama! I have so many thing I want to get into!" is what he says to me every time I walk around the corner and find him into something new. His is now pulling himself up on things and giggling at the puppies because he can chase after them. They are no longer safe!

We are seven months old tomorrow and oh my are we just going going going. We love playing with our friend Josephina, who is three and half months old! She is Jacob's best friend. His Auntie Gia loves having play dates so the kids can explore and have a friend, oh and learn to share!!!!

We got two bottom teeth and are working on the top two. They are starting to swell the gums so any time here they should be making their grand entrance.

We are getting our family pictures done on Sunday! So be looking for those update!

Six Months OLD!

Well, it is here. My baby is six months old! It has been so busy lately, I haven't had time to update on here! A lot has happened in the past couple weeks. Jacob started sitting up all by himself at about 5 months! And then it seemed like right after that he decided he wanted to try and push himself up on his hands and knees. Now, we are crawling. Not very fast, and we fall a lot, but we are getting there. Mom and Dad are going to this weekend to get some baby proofing items to keep Jacob out of too much trouble. He is going to be a handful! He is so curious about everything and wants to touch and play with everything!!

We had our six month check up yesterday! Jacob is growing very nicely. His weight 16.8 lbs. Is 28 inches long, and his head is rather large! The noggin is growing!!! The doctor said he looks wonderful. Mama was worried about his weight, because he didn't gain very much this time around, but she said he looks great and as long as he is eating nicely, there isn't anything to worry about.

Jacob has severl new things he loves doing. He enjoys blowing kisses (which means he just attacks mama and daddy's face with an open mouth), he blows lots of slobbery bubbles, enjoys eating mama's keys...even though he has his own set of keys, and like to laugh hysterically at Sammi and Elle, the family dogs.

Oh! And our bottom two teeth are finally coming in! Hurray! Thank the Lord!

Until next time! Which will be soon again! Mama promises. She has family to keep updated!
